debut!

I just came home from my fam frienn's debut! Her theme color was purple, which is my favorite color! Hahaha, after seeing the decorations and even watchin the cotillion court dance their waltz, I couldn't help but think about my own debut in the future... I was even thinkin of my future court. hehehe (: My mom and dad said I will MAYBE have one.. It depends on how things will be in the future.. 'cause Imma turn 18 when I'm already in college! In October -__- so that'd be hard for practices and stuff like thaaat... 'cause everyone would be busy w/ college and some people might even be outta state! So when I talked to my mommaa about a future debut for me, she said we'll see.... And I got into this whole thing about asking her why is it a "we'll see"? 'cause usually whenever she says that.. it ends up a no :( And then we got into this little argument 'cause she was saying how I don't understand that it costs a lotta $$$. And she thought I wasn't thinkin about the $$$ and time it would cost. But I JUST realized that I need to not only think of myself and what I WANT.. but to also consider the reality and costs of having a debut. It's just that seeing other debutante's at their debuts all happy and performing for everyone makes me want one even more! But now that I think of it, I wouldn't want my parents to stress and have to save so much just for one extravagant night. Maybe when I get there, I'll realize that I'd much rather travel.
